Responsible for applying statistical analysis to capacity planning inputs for all product families, investigating and owning the quality of the capacity model, and using data techniques to establish quality and efficiency improvements to the model. Collaborate closely with the Process Development Engineering (PDE), Manufacturing Development Engineering (MDE) and Operations Development Engineering (ODE) stakeholders to keep updated on Area metrics and issues. Write proposals and documents for reports/projects and to help explain significant model impacts. Present information effectively on complex ideas to peers, area leadership or other levels of management. Design and coordinate projects with different departments. Plan for complex projects involving multiple areas, scope of work, and cost implications. Utilize preventive problem analysis during planning phase and provides detailed contingency plans for likely issues. Accurately predict resources required and maintain schedule. Maintain accurate capacity planning models. Apply IE concepts and statistical analysis to maintain quality and audit manufacturing capacity information, analyze metric quality, and improve modeling techniques. Create innovative data solutions using IE knowledge to continually improve the strategic forecast. Demonstrate proven information collection methodologies and analysis techniques to resolve advanced issues. Understand, isolate, and analyze parameter interactions. Develop new methods for testing and tracking and measuring data Including global/benchmarking information to understand and resolve issues. May telecommute from home part-time. Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Production Operations Management (POM), Industrial and Systems Engineering, or related field.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Production Operations Management (POM), Industrial and Systems Engineering, or related field.
  • Analytical problem-solving skills with ability to troubleshoot complex problems and address root causes.
  • Data extraction, analysis, and reporting skills.
  • Statistics.
  • Manufacturing Science including capacity planning, optimization, constraint management.
  • Database management methods and techniques
