About The Position

The Identity and Access Management (IAM) Specialist supports the Identity & Access Management team in the administration, maintenance, and operational effectiveness of enterprise identity lifecycle processes. The role is responsible for performing access provisioning and deprovisioning, assisting with access reviews, supporting IAM controls, and maintaining accuracy across identity systems. This position emphasizes operational excellence, adherence to security standards, and continuous improvement to protect the environment and reduce identity‑related risks. Candidates should be passionate about delivering secure, stable, and efficient IAM services and demonstrate strong attention to detail and customer service.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in Identity & Access Management, Information Security or related IT support roles.
  • Hands-on experience with Enterprise Class Identity and Access Management Platforms such as SailPoint, MS Entra and Active Directory.
  • Experience working in a regulated financial services environment, with a general understanding of SOX, NYDFS and other access-related compliance requirements.
  • Experience supporting ticketing systems and operational processes (Tier I-II).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Broadcom Single Sign-On is not expected but preferred.
  • Experience in Varonis DatAtvantage is not expected but preferred.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI a plus.
  • Familiarity with the various SDLC Frameworks and underlying technologies and ancillary systems.

Responsibilities

  • Execute day‑to‑day identity lifecycle processes, including user account provisioning, modification, and deprovisioning across enterprise systems.
  • Support access certification activities by preparing data extracts, assisting with issue tracking, and validating access information for accuracy.
  • Assist in monitoring IAM system health, alerts, and exception reports; perform initial investigation and escalate issues as needed.
  • Follow established controls and procedures related to credentialing, access changes, and entitlement updates.
  • Perform Tier I–II troubleshooting for IAM‑related issues, including authentication, authorization, and access discrepancies.
  • Assist in reviewing and maintaining IAM documentation, standard operating procedures, and knowledge base articles.
  • Support periodic audits, compliance reviews, and regulatory evidence requests by gathering data and validating completeness.
  • Partner with application teams and IT support groups to resolve access issues and ensure adherence to IAM guidelines.
  • Participate in IAM operational rotations (weekly duties, queue management, system checks).
  • Assist with continuous improvement by identifying process gaps, updating scripts or templates, and suggesting enhancements for efficiency.
  • Support basic reporting using existing tools (e.g., PowerShell, SQL, Excel) and update IAM dashboards or metrics when needed.
  • Collaborate with peers on group projects and cross‑training to maintain consistent coverage and build shared expertise.
  • Maintain understanding of enterprise IAM technologies such as Active Directory, Entra ID, SailPoint, and other supported platforms.
