About The Position

The Dual Diagnosis Treatment Counselor provides integrated behavioral health services to individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders as part of a multidisciplinary IDDT team. The counselor utilizes evidence-based and stage-wise treatment approaches to support recovery, stability, and improved quality of life through community-based services and coordinated care.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in social work, Counseling, or a related field.
  • Ohio licensure or license eligibility preferred (LCDC, LSW, LPC, or higher).
  • Experience working with individuals with mental health and substance use disorders preferred.
  • Strong engagement, communication, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and group counseling using integrated dual disorder treatment approaches.
  • Conduct assessments and contribute to individualized treatment planning for individuals with co-occurring disorders.
  • Deliver services in community-based settings, including clients' homes and other community locations as appropriate.
  • Support individuals in developing coping skills, relapse prevention strategies, and recovery goals.
  • Collaborate with the treatment team to coordinate care and connect individuals to community resources and supports.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation.
