About The Position

The Washington Senior Director is responsible for providing strategic leadership and guidance to a team of up to seven direct reports in Washington State. This role is responsible for the overall administration and growth of the Dungarvin business and services within Washington's Supportive Living Programs. The Senior Director is responsible for nurturing and developing relationships with potential and existing business partners including local, state, and federal legislative and department representatives, advocacy groups, trade associations, and other stakeholders as warranted.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Special Education, or related field
  • 5+ years of multi-site leadership experience in human services serving I/DD/IDD populations.
  • Experience managing HCBS and Medicaid-funded services, including group homes, supported living, residential programs, vocational/day services, children’s residential programs, and housing stabilization programs
  • 5+ years of financial management experience, including $20M+ budget oversight, P&L accountability, forecasting, and budget development.
  • Knowledge of ID, DD, IDD, ICF, CIIBS, MR, Medicaid Waivers, and regulatory compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic program and fiscal planning initiatives to drive business growth and operational excellence
  • Oversee the development, evaluation, and continuous improvement of programs and services
  • Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local business and program regulations, laws, and licensing requirements specific to DD/IDD services
  • Assure quality of services meet or exceed regulatory and licensing standards through ongoing monitoring and quality assurance activities
  • Identify, pursue, and manage expansion of markets and new business opportunities within the service area
  • Hire, coach, mentor, train, and supervise direct reports while fostering a culture of professional development and accountability to entire team
  • Oversee budget development, allocation, and financial performance management while maintaining personal accountability for P&L outcomes
  • Conduct performance evaluations, implement professional development plans, and support staff retention
  • Represent the organization at community events, legislative meetings, industry forums, and stakeholder engagement activities
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators, service metrics, and compliance measures to senior leadership
