About The Position

Behavioral Health Allies – A place where employees are heard – YOU Matter! BHA is looking for energetic, passionate, and motivated Community Living Trainer to provide onboarding training and guidance to incoming new hires for direct care professionals and other behavioral health positions within the organization. Position Purpose This position is responsible for the analysis, development, and implementation of organization training, including the development of curriculum and delivery of courses. Evaluates effectiveness of training and develop measurements to demonstrate results. You will train individuals on how to work in the field supporting individuals with developmental challenges, as well as promote the health, safety and well-being of individuals. You will also be responsible for the ongoing tracking of training requirements per individual while ensuring ongoing compliance with all agency training requirements. (www.behavioralhealth.org) Schedule 9am-5pm with one day that is 12pm-8pm and a weekend a month BHA is a comprehensive behavior analytic service provider committed to the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and Positive Behavioral Intervention & Supports into the services we provide. Our services address the needs of families, schools and agencies by conducting assessments, developing and providing intervention and providing training. We service individuals with a variety of disabilities varying from 18 months through adulthood. We work with the client and family in diverse settings - homes, school districts, residential homes, mental health facilities - and in partnership with many service providers and members of our client’s advocate team. Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in administration, psychology, education, social work, special education, vocational rehabilitation, counseling, a closely related field highly preferred, or equivalent time in field.
Demonstrate written and verbal communication skills including public speaking.
Ability to work in a fast-paced high performing team environment under strict deadlines.
Self-motivated strategic thinker with strong analytic and problem-solving skills.
Self-directed individual who works well to overcome obstacles to achieve company success.

Responsibilities

Analyzes organization training needs; assesses emerging practices in service delivery, identifying and implementing those which would enable the organization to maximize its mission impact.
Develops and implements curriculum, ensuring ongoing compliance with current rules and regulations, the Person-Centered Plans, the Kansas City Regional Office of the Department of Mental Health, and BHA's mission, goals, and values.
Effectively delivers training in accordance with the curriculum.
Proactively manage changes in program scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
Under the direction of the Director of Human Resources and the BHA President, assists in staff development/performance management, including ongoing issues, incidents, and/or accidents, to ensure quality and adherence to existing policies and procedures, particularly as it relates to the health and safety of persons served.
