The IDCS Systems Engineer is responsible for installing, configuring, and testing operating systems and application software for customer orders while collaborating with IT and security departments to set up infrastructure and VPNs. This role involves developing custom scripts to automate processes, supporting large-scale deployment networks, and ensuring effective communication throughout project lifecycles. The Integration Systems Engineer must demonstrate strong problem-solving, technical troubleshooting, and communication skills to enhance system efficiency and address application performance issues.

Requirements

  • The ability to write, debug, and maintain code in various scripting and programming languages such as Microsoft Powershell and Python to automate tasks and develop software solutions - Intermediate
  • The ability to effectively utilize applications like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook to enhance productivity and perform various tasks efficiently. - Intermediate
  • Ability to simplify and effectively communicate complex problems to stakeholders across various functions and levels. - Intermediate
  • Expertise in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting BIOS firmware and device drivers to ensure system functionality and performance. - Intermediate
  • Completed Bachelor’s Degree, trade school, or relevant work experience required
  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role

Nice To Haves

  • Understanding of deploying and managing mobile devices to ensure seamless operation and integration within an organization preferred
  • Experience with installing, configuring, and maintaining Linux-based operating systems preferred

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and test operating systems and application software for customer orders.
  • Collaborate with IT and security departments to set up customer VPNs and infrastructure.
  • Monitor and test application performance, addressing issues with relevant teams.
  • Maintain and monitor customer-owned equipment in a secure environment.
  • Develop and maintain custom scripts to automate processes and enhance system efficiency.
  • Participate in designing information and operational support systems.
  • Coordinate with customers, vendors, and IT personnel during projects.
  • Stay updated on industry changes and maintain professional and technical skills.
  • Support the management of large-scale deployment networks.
  • Ensure effective communication and resolution of issues throughout project lifecycles.
