About The Position

Micron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions that accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence, inspiring the world to learn, communicate and advance faster than ever. Micron’s Boise High‑ Volume Manufacturing (HVM) photolithography team ensures consistent, high ‑ yield production through strong process control, rapid issue response, and cross ‑ functional collaboration. The team plays a critical role in enabling factory output, cycle ‑ time performance, and cost targets. The Senior Photolithography Process Engineer owns more complex lithography levels and/or tool sets and independently drives day ‑ to ‑ day HVM health. This role leads excursion investigations, drives tool matching and sampling strategies, and delivers sustained improvements to yield, output, and manufacturing stability.

Requirements

  • B.S. with 5+ years or M.S. with 3+ years of semiconductor lithography experience, or Ph.D. in in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Experience owning lithography processes or tool sets in a high ‑ volume manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency with SPC systems, statistical analysis, and structured problem ‑ solving methods.
  • Ability to lead investigations, make decisions with incomplete data, and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to document and communicate results.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with tool matching and fleet health management in HVM.
  • Familiarity with DRAM manufacturing flows and downstream process interactions.
  • Experience supporting photo tool qualifications or sustainment activities.
  • Demonstrated project leadership with measurable manufacturing results.

Responsibilities

  • Own day ‑ to ‑ day health of assigned lithography processes and tools, ensuring stable HVM performance.
  • Independently lead excursion investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.
  • Drive tool matching, process window control, and sampling strategies to improve manufacturing repeatability.
  • Partner with shift operations and area leaders to set priorities, communicate constraints, and support factory turns.
  • Use data ‑ driven methods to deliver measurable improvements in yield, output, cycle time, or cost.

Benefits

  • Choice of medical, dental and vision plans
  • Benefit programs that help protect your income if you are unable to work due to illness or injury
  • Paid family leave
  • Robust paid time-off program
