About The Position

The Partner Sales Support Specialist will play a critical role in growing sales within SBLI's Digital product channels. This position supports a multi-channel structure of sales agents, agency owners, and distribution partners by managing day-to-day support requests, answering product questions, and providing crucial training and sales enablement to our network of distribution partners. This position is based at SBLI’s home office in Woburn, MA and reports to the Vice President of Relationship Management and Sales Support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 5-8 years of experience in a sales support, customer support, or product support role.
  • Experience within the life insurance industry preferred.
  • Prior knowledge regarding Insurance distribution, channel sales and other partnership-derivative business types is a plus
  • Comfort & willingness to deepen knowledge on data and reporting structures including Excel, Oracle Business Intel
  • Experience as, or working directly with, Life Insurance sales agents a plus
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite and Zoom
  • Travel requirement: Up to 15%
  • Ability to work hybrid office model - three days in office including mandatory Wednesdays and two days remote weekly

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily support requests from agents, agency owners, and distribution partners.
  • Answer product-related questions and provide accurate information.
  • Direct agent partners to appropriate internal resources (commissions, underwriting, new business, training materials).
  • Conduct one-off training conversations with agents to enable continued sales success.
  • Host regular national training webinars for agents and partners.
  • Communicate new product launches, updates and enhancements
  • Partner with distribution leadership and distribution marketing to design and execute compelling communication campaigns
  • Design, and launch specialized sales campaigns and incentives designed to influence new agent behavior and grow business
  • Attend specific agency events to represent SBLI as a competitive asset.
  • Consistently gather feedback from the field, and articulate that feedback to internal resources to maintain SBLI’s strategic direction and product competitiveness
