About The Position

This is a Seasonal PRN RN position for the Nights shift at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Buda. The role is full-time, working 3x12-hour shifts on the Night Shift (7pm – 7am). The position is on the Main Nursing Unit, which is a blended unit with three levels of acuity: Medical Surgical, Orthopedics, Intermediate Care, and Critical Care. The unit has 15 beds and patient ratios vary by acuity: Med Surg/Tele – 1:4/5, Progressive Care/Intermediate Care – 1:3, and Intensive Care – 1:2. Baylor Scott & White - Buda is a full-service hospital recognized for its nursing professionalism, teamwork, and patient care. The Main Nursing Unit operates with a multidisciplinary approach. The facility also offers 24/7 emergency services and surgical services. The Director of Nursing emphasizes the importance of teamwork and transparency in this smaller facility, stating, 'Because we are a smaller facility, it is essential that all staff work together to provide care to our patients. Requirements

  • A degree from a recognized nursing program or two years of relevant work experience
  • A minimum of (1) one year's experience in the field of nursing
  • A valid Registered Nurse license
  • The ability to obtain a Basic Life Support certification within the first 30 days of employment.

  • Manage emotional and physical pain to promote recovery and prevent unnecessary suffering.
