The Registered Nurse – Intensive Care Unit (ICU RN) provides comprehensive critical care nursing services for adult patients experiencing acute and life-threatening conditions. Working in a fast-paced clinical environment, the ICU RN delivers direct patient care, supports emergency response efforts, and collaborates closely with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to manage complex medical situations. This position is ideal for experienced critical care nurses who thrive in high-acuity environments and value clinical autonomy, teamwork, and meaningful patient impact.

Requirements

  • Current unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in any U.S. state, territory, or the District of Columbia
  • Minimum of 3 years of ICU or critical care nursing experience, including at least 6 months of direct patient care within the last year
  • Active Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications required
  • Associate, Bachelor, Master of Science in Nursing, or Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) and Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong critical thinking, communication, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills in high-acuity clinical environments
  • Ability to meet pre-employment physical requirements, including prolonged standing, bending, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
  • U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident Card required with the ability to obtain and maintain required government clearance credentials
  • Valid U.S. passport with at least 18 months remaining prior to expiration and willingness to relocate internationally for the duration of the assignment

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments, continuous monitoring, and critical care nursing interventions for patients with acute and life-threatening conditions
  • Administer medications, IV therapies, and specialized treatments while monitoring patient response and clinical progress
  • Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Operate and monitor critical care equipment including ventilators, cardiac monitoring systems, and infusion pumps
  • Accurately document patient assessments, treatments, and outcomes within electronic medical record (EMR/EHR) systems
  • Provide patient and family education, emotional support, and advocacy throughout treatment and recovery processes
  • Participate in required clinical training, compliance education, and quality standards supporting regulatory and accreditation requirements
