About The Position
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced ICU Registered Nurse to join our fast-paced medical unit. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background and have experience managing a variety of critical conditions. This 30-bed Medical ICU specializes in the care of patients with Sepsis, Heart failure, Hypertensive emergencies, Respiratory failure, Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), Chronic kidney disease, Type 2 diabetes mellitus, Alcohol use/abuse, Substance abuse, Status epilepticus, and Encephalopathy.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of ICU nursing experience
- Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) and BLS (Basic Life Support) certifications required
- Proficient in the use of ventilators and other critical care equipment
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients
- Monitor vital signs and respond to changes in patient conditions
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Communicate effectively with patients and families regarding care and treatment options
