About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled ICU Registered Nurse to join our fast-paced medical ICU with 30 beds. Our unit specializes in providing comprehensive care for a diverse patient population, including those experiencing sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergencies, respiratory failure, COPD, chronic kidney disease, Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (TDM2), alcohol use and abuse, substance abuse, status epilepticus, and encephalopathy.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience in an ICU or similar critical care setting.
• Current certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Proficient in the use of ventilators and other critical care equipment.
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
• Active nursing license in the state of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in a medical ICU setting.
• Monitor patient vital signs and clinical status using advanced equipment and technology.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to established protocols.
• Utilize ventilators and other respiratory support systems as needed to manage patient respiratory conditions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and health management.
• Participate in critical care protocols and initiatives to improve patient outcomes.
