About The Position
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated ICU Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced 30-bed Medical Intensive Care Unit (ICU). This unit provides comprehensive care for a diverse patient population, including those with sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergencies, respiratory failure, COPD, chronic kidney disease, Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, alcohol use/abuse, substance use disorders, status epilepticus, and encephalopathy.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of ICU nursing experience.
- Current ACLS and BLS certification required.
- Proficient in managing ventilators and patient monitoring systems.
- Strong critical thinking and clinical decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluate patients' conditions regularly.
- Administer medications and perform interventions as ordered by physicians.
- Provide respiratory support, including the management of ventilators.
- Monitor and document patients' progress and responses to treatment.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care.
- Educate patients and families regarding medical conditions and treatment plans.
