About The Position
We are seeking a dedicated ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our fast-paced medical intensive care unit. The unit consists of 30 beds and cares for a diverse patient population facing critical conditions such as: Sepsis Heart failure Hypertensive emergencies Respiratory failure COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease) Chronic Kidney Disease Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus Alcohol use/abuse Substance abuse Status Epilepticus Encephalopathy
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an ICU setting
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications
- Strong clinical and critical thinking skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Responsibilities
- Monitoring and assessing patient conditions
- Administering medications and treatments
- Managing ventilators and other advanced medical equipment
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Documenting patient progress and maintaining accurate medical records
- Educating patients and families about health conditions and post-discharge care
