This is a part-time position requiring 24 hours per week, with a schedule of two 12-hour shifts per week (1845-0715), every 3rd weekend, and a Holiday A/B rotation. The pay range is $20.80 - $31.20. The role involves assisting RNs with direct patient care, including daily hygiene, feeding, ambulation, and monitoring vital signs. Accurate documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) is essential. Responsibilities also include participating in patient admissions, transfers, and discharges, ensuring patient safety by keeping call lights within reach, and performing purposeful rounding. The role requires patient positioning and transporting, which involves lifting and pushing/pulling. Tasks related to nutritional needs, skin integrity, and specimen collection are also part of the duties. The position requires adherence to infection prevention policies, coordination of tests and treatments with other departments, and maintaining knowledge of various hospital systems for ordering supplies and processing charges. Effective communication via telephone and hospital systems is crucial, as is troubleshooting office equipment. Compiling chart forms, verifying patient information, and maintaining positive customer relations are also key aspects of the role. The incumbent must demonstrate age-specific knowledge and skills to provide appropriate care.
