About The Position
Bridgetown Veterinary Emergency and Referral is seeking a dedicated Kennel Assistant to join our ICU team! This role supports our veterinary nurses and doctors by providing exceptional patient care, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and assisting with animal handling.
Requirements
- Animal handling experience (dogs & cats).
- Dependable, compassionate, and detail-oriented.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with critically ill patients.
- Must be available for weekends, evenings, and holidays (24/7 hospital).
Nice To Haves
- 1+ year of experience in veterinary medicine or animal care.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily care for hospitalized patients (feeding, walking, cleaning, comfort).
- Assist with safe animal restraint for treatments and procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the ICU.
- Wash and sanitize dishes, laundry, and kennels.
- Restock supplies and support the nursing team as needed.
