About The Position

In the role of Digital Design Specialist, we'll count on you to collaborate with project engineers and designers to evaluate, define, and review customer objectives within the project design, maintaining technical competency in the software identified for Digital Delivery. You will define and develop complete BIM project related construction documents to include all design documents (SD, DD, CD) to help show design intent, and project specifications. You will support the resolution of client BIM comments across all Construction Administration (CA) activities. You will coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams and clients to develop functional requirements for modeling system designs and other project related requirements. You will maintain knowledge of current industry standards and new emerging design tools. You will create and maintain the discipline model, systems, content, and overall digital delivery output for that discipline. You will accurately model the BIM elements in the correct special constraints of the modeling environment, using the current 3D software. You will prepare detailed drawings, layouts, diagrams, and schedules within the project scope, design schedule, and budget, using the current 3D software. You will maintain the discipline model including project information, coordinates, scales, orientations, scope boundaries, match-lines, views, and sheets. You will assist in monitoring, improving, and maintaining company standards. You will coordinate the design with other discipline models through Design Reviews and the 3D Coordination process. You will assist or execute any additional Digital Delivery requirements identified on the project.

Requirements

• Technical degree or a minimum of 3 years related industry experience
• Technically qualified with 3D design software and document management infrastructure
• Competency of Microsoft Office products and communication tools
• Experience with 3D Coordination tools
• Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and organizational traits are essential
• Intermediate understanding of engineering or architectural concepts

Nice To Haves

• General engineering knowledge of either telecommunication (Horizontal/Backbone cabling and pathways) or physical electronic security systems (access control, video management system, CCTV, intrusion detection).
• Advanced skillset of 3D design software and document management infrastructure
• Superior client service, communication, and presentation skills are essential
• Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively serve as a first line of technical support
• Committed to quality, improvement, and HDR
• Ability to handle multiple assignments
