About The Position

Provides relationship management oversight of assigned institutional client accounts with an established or new book of business. Working in a team environment, provides account specific administration and client services to support the business, concentrating on quality and accuracy of daily work and superior relationship management, while minimizing risk. Provides guidance to less experienced personnel.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience, OR in lieu of a degree, A combined minimum of 6 years’ higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience
  • Strong level of proficiency in use of personal computers and pertinent word processing and spreadsheet software

Responsibilities

  • Submit and/or approve activity for processing in a timely and accurate manner and based on client directives.
  • Respond to and/or annotate compliance reports for assigned accounts or team; resolve related outstanding matters as directed.
  • Submit and/or approve annual account reviews for assigned accounts or in a timely manner as requested.
  • Serve as primary/secondary contact for assigned/coverage team accounts as well as retirement plan participants and pensioners.
  • Resolve basic and complex matters and inquiries, adhering to established Division, client and alliance service standards.
  • Maintain client communications on regulatory, legal, accounting and trust matters.
  • Complete client billing and resolve aged receivables for client accounts.
  • Remain current on industry trends and regulatory items.
  • Partner with Client Development to look for cross-selling and growth opportunities with assigned clients.
  • Provide guidance to less experienced personnel.
  • Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite.
  • Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
  • Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
  • Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
  • Complete other related duties as assigned.
