About The Position

Morgan Stanley's Institutional Consulting Solutions (ICS) business, part of Morgan Stanley Wealth Management Client Segments, provides consulting services and solutions to institutional investors. This role supports the ICS business development team in end-to-end sales efforts, including lead generation, CRM tracking, integrating AI tools into lead and pipeline processes, and developing strategies to scale these channels in partnership with specialist Advisors. Daily tasks include support in Coverage Central, CMS, DocuSign, and handling ad-hoc data and metric requests.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with institutional client coverage and/or data-driven analysis.
  • Proficiency in advanced Excel modeling and PowerPoint (storytelling, executive-ready materials).
  • Experience with AI data and reporting tools such as Dataiku, Tableau, and/or Teradata (or comparable platforms).
  • Familiarity with customer relationship management software like Salesforce.
  • Quick learner with the ability to learn database front ends (e.g., Dataiku).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including telephone coverage.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and client service skills.
  • Detail-oriented with superior organization skills.
  • Ability to prioritize work.
  • Team player with the ability to collaborate with others.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure CRM tracking of prospecting and pipeline is up-to-date for lead matching to specialists and tracking sales against KPIs.
  • Conduct data analysis and utilize Morgan Stanley AI tools to identify new leads or cross-sell opportunities, providing actionable insights to the ICS Business Development team or Advisors.
  • Create regular updates for the Graystone Business Development and Corporate Cash/Government Entity teams, quantifying lead generation, pipeline management, and scaling efforts through leading and lagging indicators.
  • Periodically present business metrics, lead generation referral tracking, and Integrated Firm progress to senior leadership.
  • Conduct new lead or opportunity scrubs, including Coverage Central/MSIM Cash coverage checks.
  • Support Salesforce entries for relevant opportunities and assist with contract facilitation via DocuSign.
