The ICIAN Technical Training Consultant is responsible for the successful implementation and delivery of ICIAN technical and/or trade-related training and services. This includes: coordination and facilitation of technical and/or trade-related classes, design and development of technical and/or trade-related curriculum, and on-site/jobsite coaching and training. The ideal candidate must be proficient in the use of a PC and Microsoft Office Suite, proficient in the operation of audiovisual equipment, familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within electrical and/or specialty systems contractor field, and knowledge of adult educational principles and theory is preferred. Requirements

Completion of an apprenticeship program, or related technical training or an Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree
Strong technical background
5 years related experience in the electrical, specialty systems, or related trade
1 to 2 years facilitation experience
Proficient in the use of a PC and Microsoft Office Suite
Proficient in the operation of audiovisual equipment
Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within electrical and/or specialty systems contractor field
Up to 25% Travel
Typical work hours are between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Monday – Friday; However, work may be performed at any time on any day of the week to meet business needs.

Responsibilities

Effectively facilitates ICIAN curriculum and trade-related training classes.
Collaborates with ICIAN Team to research and recommend content, develop, pilot, and implement new technical and/or trade-related training and development programs.
Designs and develops technical and/or trade-related curriculum, based on organizational needs.
Conducts jobsite or on-site coaching and development of employees (related to audits and/or to assist with novel work or jobs in crisis).
Develops relationships with operational leaders that facilitate open dialogue and trust.
Supports and provides guidance to ICIAN Coordinator in the coordination of the ICIAN programs, as needed.
Works with the ICIAN team and subject-matter experts to continuously improve the content, activities, and delivery of technical and/or trade-related programs.
Continually increases knowledge of facilitation craft.
Actively participates in professional and trade-related organizations.
