About The Position

The ICF/IID House Manager is responsible for managing an ICF/IID Residence and performing other duties as a member of the ICF/IID Management Team. This role involves ensuring the smooth operation of the residence, supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, and managing staff effectively.

Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree with concentration in human service.
  • Two to four years of experience in a supervisory role.
  • At least one year of experience working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Upon hire must satisfactorily complete all training required by Orange Grove Center and contracting agencies.
  • Successful completion of the OGC required physical examination.
  • Ability to lift in excess of 50 lbs.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Oral and written communication skills.
  • All Orange Grove Center required training and orientation.

Responsibilities

  • Manage an ICF/IID Residence.
  • Perform other duties as needed as a member of the ICF/IID Management Team.
  • Attend and participate in ICF/ID Management Meetings.
  • Attend and participate in individual support meetings.
  • Attend Accreditation Meetings and ICF/ID Survey Exit Conferences.
  • Enhance staff relationships.
  • Use effective communication skills.
  • Encourage staff’s growth and self-development.
  • Facilitate teamwork.
  • Employ conflict resolution skills.
  • Provide adequate supports to staff.
  • Ensure teamwork between Day Program and the Residence.
  • Provide and model direct support.

  • Facilitate community inclusion.
  • Facilitate family involvement.
  • Maintain an appropriate physical environment.
  • Provide transportation.
  • Implement and monitor support plans.
  • Schedule and attend Dr. appointments.
  • Program planning and monitoring.
  • Complete required assessments.
  • Attend and participate in Individual Support Plan planning meetings and all Circle of Support Meetings.
  • Monitor progress by reviewing Daily Notes and Data Tracking Sheets daily.
  • Record process by completing Monthly Reviews and submitting them in a timely manner.
  • Train staff on appropriate Implementation Plans.
  • Participate in the hiring and firing process of ICF/ID DSPs.
  • Evaluate job performance yearly and provide feedback to staff on a regular basis.
  • Coordinate vacation, staffing schedules, monitor staff’s work time, and other paperwork for ICF/ID DSPs.
  • Ensure proper staffing ratio is provided for completion of direct care and active treatment in the Homes as outlined in the staffing plan.
  • Arrange for staff to attend training, in-service sessions and complete on-line training.
  • Conduct monthly staff meetings with defined agenda and signature sheet.
  • Complete reportable incidents via computer.
  • Monitor safety issues.
  • Practice appropriate emergency procedures.
  • Conduct monthly fire drills and complete appropriate documentation.
  • Respond to emergencies.
  • Promote consumer rights regarding health and safety.
  • Manage staffing budget.
  • Manage food budget.
  • Manage supply budget.
  • Manage medical budget.
  • Manage client funds.
  • Manage petty cash funds.
  • Understand, implement, and monitor Department of Health Regulations.
  • Understand, implement, and monitor Department of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Regulations.
  • Understand, implement, and monitor Orange Grove Center Policies.
  • Understand, implement, and monitor ICF/ID procedures and guidelines.
  • Perform general office work, inclusive of all Monday morning paperwork, monthly paperwork, and other required documentation.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
