ICE Technician III - I
About The Position
Under supervision, perform technical and specialized work of a skilled nature in connection with electrical systems, electronics, and instrument and control systems. This role involves locating and repairing defects in control systems, inspecting and calibrating electrical relays, installing and maintaining control systems, and performing maintenance on HVAC equipment. The technician will also troubleshoot PLC/SLC Logic Control Systems, build basic programming logic, and overhaul electrical equipment ranging from low voltage to 6.9kv. Additionally, the role requires compiling and recording data, preparing reports, and performing other assigned job duties.
Requirements
- Associates degree in Electronic or Electrical Engineering Technology, Instrumentation Controls, or associated degree. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Post high school education at a college, vocational school, or military training in electrical systems, electronics and/or instrumentation controls or completion of a four to five year electrical journeyman apprenticeship program, plus a minimum of two years related work experience.
- Must have performed the duties of, and maintained all the qualifications of ICE Technician III and must be able to pass an examination and/or demonstration as determined by the Company to advance to ICE Technician II.
- Successful completion of the Power Plant Maintenance Selection System HireVue Plant Maintenance Worker.
- Recommended test results from HireVue Plant Maintenance Worker Virtual Job Tryout.
- Sufficient experience in the use of power plant instrumentation to have a working knowledge of process control.
- Working knowledge and skill needed to calibrate and adjust plant instruments and controls, and be capable of detecting and making repairs to complex control systems.
- Able to read, interpret and work from moderately complex prints and specifications.
- Working knowledge of equipment and clearance procedures, and the rules, safety practices and procedures applicable to the work.
- Must obtain and maintain all necessary certifications and licenses as required.
- Must be available for callout.
- Must reside within daily commuting distance of the assigned work location in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Responsibilities
- Locate and repair defects in control systems involving electrical, solid state electronic, mechanical, pneumatic or hydraulic components.
- Inspect, adjust, repair and calibrate electrical relays.
- Install, calibrate and maintain single-element control systems and multiple-element control systems.
- Inspect the various component parts of instrument and control systems; make adjustments or replacements to remedy faults in those not functioning properly.
- Perform required maintenance and installation on heating, ventilating, and air conditioning equipment.
- Perform necessary functions to place in or remove from service, instrument and control systems undergoing study, tests or adjustments.
- Troubleshoot PLC/SLC Logic Control Systems, Force Contacts, locate hardware I/O addresses. Build basic programming logic.
- Dismantle, overhaul, reassemble and install electrical equipment. Work with low voltage through 6.9kv
- Compile and record data relating to tests and investigations and prepare graphs, curves and reports.
- Perform other job duties as assigned.
