About The Position

Salt Lake City is looking for Ice Rink Assistant Managers to support Gallivan Center Ice Rink operations. This position will monitor the ice rink areas, adjacent spaces, including Gallivan Hall and supervise staff. Candidate will have one (1) year of experience in effective supervision of personnel, facilities, and equipment. Ideal candidate will also have point of sales and cash handling experience, and transaction and end of shift reporting experience.

Requirements

One (1) year experience in effective supervision of personnel, facilities, and equipment.
Must possess a food handlers permit or be able to obtain one within 10 days of hire.
Ability to communicate effectively with the public, supervisors and other employees.
Ability to travel from one work location to another or pick up supplies.
Current certification in standard first aid & cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) or be able to obtain within 10 days of hire.
Ability to be trained in the operation of Zamboni and skate sharpening machinery.
Experience with point-of-sale systems and ability to diagnose issues and find solutions.

Responsibilities

Assists in supervising and monitoring concessions area, Gallivan Hall, and rink areas, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment.
Assists with supervising all rink staff to ensure safe and effective operation.
Identifies and responds to scheduling issues by alerting Ice Rink Manager.
Assist in monitoring certification of instructors, guards, and other personnel to ensure proper training.
Assist in maintaining daily business operation of the rink and rental items.
Perform duties of Ice Rink Guard and Cashier when needed.
Performs other related duties as assigned by Ice Rink Manager.
