About The Position

This role involves assisting with ice rink preparation and maintenance, including event setup and services. The Ice Crew member will be responsible for making ice for hockey and other ice-related events, installing dasher walls and glass, painting hockey lines, and resurfacing the ice. Additionally, they will maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of the facility and related support areas, report maintenance issues, and assist with the cleaning, maintenance, and storage of ice event equipment. The position requires operating motorized equipment such as ice resurfacers, forklifts, and Bobcats. The role also includes compiling information for time reports, tracking productivity, and making recommendations for improvement. A key aspect of the job is providing excellent service to clients and resolving their concerns. This is a general representation of duties, and other related tasks may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

• Experience with ice rink preparation and maintenance.
• Ability to install dasher walls and glass.
• Skills in building ice and painting/marking hockey lines.
• Proficiency in resurfacing ice.
• Ability to clean and maintain facilities and support areas.
• Capability to report maintenance issues and safety concerns.
• Experience with cleaning, maintaining, and storing ice event equipment.
• Ability to operate motorized equipment including ice resurfacing machines, forklifts, and Bobcats.
• Skills in compiling information and generating reports.
• Ability to track productivity and make recommendations.
• Commitment to delivering high-level client service.
• Ability to resolve client questions and concerns.

Responsibilities

• Assist with ice rink preparation and maintenance, including event set-up and services.
• Assist with making ice for hockey and other ice-related events, including dasher wall and dasher glass installation, building ice, painting/marking hockey lines, and resurfacing ice.
• Responsible for the cleaning, upkeep, and minor maintenance of the facility and related support areas.
• Report all major maintenance items and safety concerns to management.
• Assist with the cleaning, minor maintenance, and proper storage of all ice event related equipment, including Ice Paint machine, Ice Resurfacing machine, hockey nets, hockey logos, and other motorized equipment.
• Operate motorized equipment in the performance of assigned duties, such as ice resurfacing machines, forklifts, and Bobcats.
• Compile information and generate time reports for event wrap-up, track productivity, and make recommendations to management for increased productivity.
• Deliver the highest level of service to all clients and events.
• Assist in resolving client's questions and concerns.
