About The Position
The Penny Ice Creamery is seeking an Ice Cream Scooper to create a fun and memorable experience for guests. This role involves scooping ice cream, preparing sundaes, milkshakes, and novelty items, making coffee and tea drinks, and toasting marshmallows. The Penny Ice Creamery is known for its scratch-made ice cream using locally sourced, organic ingredients, offering unique and classic flavors. The company operates four locations in Santa Cruz County: Downtown Santa Cruz, Pleasure Point, Aptos Village, and Scotts Valley. The Glass Jar, which includes The Penny Ice Creamery and The Picnic Basket, was founded in Santa Cruz, CA in 2010 with a focus on scratch-made food, local ingredients, and community.
Requirements
- Ability to prioritize and work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to work alone/unsupervised
- Must have availability during the week, weekends and holidays on a reliable basis
- Must be available to work 20 hours a week on a reliable basis
