About The Position

This position is responsible for key aspects of the integrated manufacturing process and has overall business responsibility. The supervisor oversees people and production processes, supporting safe work, employee development, reliable line performance, product quality, and continuous improvement. The role works closely with HR, maintenance, logistics, QA, production, and freezer/warehouse departments to meet business and operational KPIs. Work takes place throughout the facility, including cold or hot environments, with potential exposure to moving machinery, chemicals, noise, and heavy lifting. The position requires successful completion of an approved HAZWOPER training course.

Requirements

Ability to communicate effectively with personnel at all levels.
Ability to read and interpret policies and procedures and communicate them clearly.
Ability to maintain accurate records and manage multiple tasks.
Ability to make supervisory-level decisions.
Ability to handle disciplinary actions and document them properly.
Basic knowledge of technical machinery or process equipment.
Understanding of lubrication, sanitation, changeovers, KPIs, new products, and the preventive maintenance process.
Successful completion of an approved HAZWOPER training course.
Legally authorized to work in the United States full-time without current or future employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Perform all job functions in the safest manner possible and complete assigned steps in product production and packaging.
Participate in employee screening, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and training in accordance with company expectations.
Work with HR to understand and determine people-related objectives.
Coach and develop team members through feedback, skill-building conversations, and performance check-ins.
Maintain documentation, training manuals, and other relevant paperwork; communicate business updates regularly and thoughtfully.
Address daily line issues and ensure equipment operates at optimum performance.
Understand production equipment and troubleshoot mechanical problems.
Participate as an active ICMS leader, facilitating continuous improvement and coordinating production-floor team projects.
Ensure line maintenance is issued and completed, working with the Maintenance Supervisor to support downtime KPIs.
Delegate work consistently, coach employees, and follow up to ensure assignments are completed.
Ensure production of consistent, quality product at designated cost.
Implement and refine changeover and startup processes, including check sheets, communication, planning, and production meetings.
Work with support departments, including HR, Logistics, and QA, to meet KPIs and understand their purposes.
Engage in ICMS, Visual Management, and 5S activities to drive continual improvement.
Coordinate changeovers and the movement of equipment to storage with production and freezer/warehouse departments.
Navigate web-based programs and business systems including Buildapp, Megamation, DFOS, SAP, Microsoft, and SPC.
Take ownership of one or more work centers in an ICMS role.
