About The Position

Prairie Farms is a farmer-owned dairy cooperative, founded in 1938 by Illinois dairy farmers. It represents over 600 independent family farms and produces a wide range of dairy and food products, including milk, cheese, ice cream, and yogurt. We are currently searching for multiple skilled production positions in Orrville, OH.

Requirements

Must be responsible for quality work.
Must have aptitude and ability to do mechanical fundamental and trouble shooting
Must be able to able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, climb and crouch a majority of the day.
Must be able to lift up to 61 pounds on a regular basis.
High School Diploma or GED preferred; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or, equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nice To Haves

Experience within the dairy, food and beverage industry preferred.

Responsibilities

Will learn and operate all production equipment in the plant including: HTST, Cheese Cook, all filler positions and blowmold
Will make cottage cheese as needed
Will relieve all positions (including cooler and dock) as needed during vacations, sickness, or for other reasons
Responsible for maintaining the highest quality of standards
Will perform necessary quality checks, and fill out all required quality and production records completely and accurately
Must be willing to cross trin and perform other duties as required
