About The Position

As Tampa Bay's premier dining cruise company, we combine exceptional hospitality, stunning waterfront views, and memorable dining experiences aboard our luxury vessels. We are seeking a friendly, dependable, and detail-oriented Ice Cream Attendant to operate our soft-serve ice cream station and help create a fun and memorable experience for our guests. In addition to serving ice cream, this role is responsible for maintaining, cleaning, and servicing the soft-serve machine to ensure the highest standards of food safety and product quality.

Requirements

  • Previous customer service, food service, retail, or hospitality experience preferred.
  • Friendly and outgoing personality with strong guest service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and stay organized.
  • Strong attention to cleanliness and sanitation.
  • Ability to follow procedures and equipment operating instructions.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and perform cleaning duties.
  • Ability to work aboard a vessel that may be away from dock for several hours at a time.
  • Ability to work in a sheltered but outdoor environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience operating food service equipment.
  • Experience working with soft-serve or frozen dessert machines.
  • Food Handler Certification preferred or ability to obtain after hire.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve soft-serve ice cream to guests in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Create a welcoming and engaging guest experience while maintaining excellent customer service.
  • Monitor ice cream inventory and notify management of product needs.
  • Ensure ice cream stations remain fully stocked, clean, and organized throughout service.
  • Assist guests with questions regarding flavors, toppings, and menu offerings.
  • Maintain attractive product presentation and serving areas.
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures.
  • Daily cleaning, sanitizing, and maintenance of the soft-serve machine.
  • Performing machine assembly, disassembly, and cleaning according to manufacturer specifications.
  • Monitoring machine performance and reporting maintenance concerns.
  • Maintaining proper product temperatures and food safety standards.
  • Ensuring all serving utensils, supplies, and equipment remain clean and organized.
  • Supporting vessel operations and hospitality teams as needed.
  • Providing exceptional service that enhances the overall guest experience.
