About The Position

BAE Systems is looking for an experienced Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Test and Evaluation (T&E) Engineer to join our team for an exciting opportunity supporting the Minuteman III (MMIII) Weapon System. The successful candidate will be an integral part of a highly-skilled team that integrates with the government's Test Managers in functioning as direct and matrixed Test Managers to ICBM acquisition and sustainment programs. ICBM, Minuteman III, or Developmental Test & Evaluation (DT&E) experience is highly desirable. The position is located at Hill AFB, Utah.

Requirements

  • BS/MS Engineering, Computer Science, Software, Mathematics, or Physics.
  • 3 years of directly related experience (2 years with MS degree) in systems integration and analysis of military hardware and software systems/processes
  • The ability to achieve and maintain a US DoW Top Secret security clearance
  • Excellent cognitive, communication (written and spoken), and interpersonal skills
  • Effective oral and written communication skills with customers, stakeholders, and team members
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain high standards of integrity, even under pressure
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly identify issues, evaluate alternatives, and provide solutions

Nice To Haves

  • Minuteman III or ICBM Weapon System experience
  • Experience in Developmental Test and Evaluation (DT&E)
  • Experience with defense acquisition programs
  • ATEP or CTEP certification through ITEA
  • Current Secret or Top-Secret Security Clearance
  • Healthy conflict resolution skills

Responsibilities

  • Assist MMIII acquisition and sustainment programs through the DT&E process
  • Help programs to identify, mitigate, reduce, and manage risks relating to DT&E
  • Assess system compliance with mandated requirements, specifications, and system baselines
  • Attend Integrated Product Team (IPT) meetings to provide DT&E subject matter expertise support
  • Attend Integrated Test Team (ITT) meetings
  • Conduct reviews of all test documentation including charters, handbooks, test plans, test reports, test procedures, Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP), etc.
  • Conduct test witnessing for Alternate Lead Development Test Organization (Alt-LDTO) test programs
  • Update test document workflow spreadsheets and PowerPoints
  • Prepare and provide briefings to the Gov't customer regarding testing and documentation status
  • Stay current on US Air Force DT&E requirements and processes and inform stakeholders of any applicable changes or updates
