About The Position

The ICAT Coordinator supports the coordination and installation of integrated communications, audiovisual, security, and network infrastructure systems for PCL Constructors Canada Inc. on the QE II project in Halifax. This role involves administering requests for information (RFIs), shop drawings, submittals, and coordination documentation, ensuring timely responses and issue resolution. The coordinator also assists with quality management processes, inspections, testing, and commissioning activities, including maintaining project documentation and closeout deliverables. They participate in site inspections and coordination meetings, promote a customer-focused approach, and perform other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Diploma or bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, engineering technology, information technology, telecommunications, or a related field.
  • 1–5 years of construction, technology infrastructure, low-voltage systems, telecommunications, or related industry experience.
  • Knowledge of network cabling systems, including copper, fibre optic, security, and audiovisual cabling.
  • Familiarity with cabling topologies, structured cabling systems, and network infrastructure components.
  • Basic knowledge of physical security systems, access control devices, and electrified hardware.
  • Working knowledge of construction processes, drawings, specifications, quality requirements, safety standards, and building codes.
  • Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the coordination and installation of integrated communications, audiovisual, security, and network infrastructure systems.
  • Administers requests for information (RFIs), shop drawings, submittents, and coordination documentation.
  • Reviews and tracks RFIs to ensure timely responses and issue resolution.
  • Assists with quality management processes, inspections, testing, and commissioning activities.
  • Supports building systems commissioning documentation and project closeout deliverables.
  • Participates in site inspections and coordination meetings with consultants, designers, engineers, and trade contractors.
  • Maintains project documentation, reports, operation and maintenance manuals, warranty information, and closeout records.
  • Promotes a customer-focused, solution-oriented approach in all stakeholder interactions.
  • Other duties as required.
