About The Position
The IBR Maintenance Planner and Coordinator is responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating maintenance activities for photovoltaic (PV) and battery energy storage system (BESS) facilities, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operations through effective work management and resource coordination. Under the direction of the Director, Power Generation Asset Management, the IBR Maintenance Planner and Coordinator is responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities for photovoltaic (PV) and battery energy storage system (BESS) facilities. This role develops work plans and maintenance schedules, ensures the availability of labor, materials, tools, and equipment, coordinates contractor and internal resources, and maintains accurate maintenance records and documentation. The position supports safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations through effective work management processes, maintenance reporting, and coordination of maintenance activities for inverter-based resource assets.
Requirements
- Knowledge of utility-scale photovoltaic (PV) and battery energy storage system (BESS) equipment, operations, maintenance practices, and supporting balance-of-plant systems.
- Understanding of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs, work planning, scheduling, resource coordination, and outage management.
- Knowledge of contractor management, including statements of work, work execution oversight, invoice review, budget tracking, and contract administration.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with contractors, consultants, OEMs, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders to support maintenance activities and resolve technical or operational issues.
- Knowledge of inventory management, material procurement, critical spare parts management, and material readiness processes.
- Knowledge of power generation safety practices, electrical safety procedures, job hazard analysis, emergency response requirements, and applicable environmental regulations.
- Ability to review and analyze maintenance reports, inspection findings, work order documentation, contractor recommendations, and asset performance information.
- Ability to maintain accurate maintenance, inventory, contractor, financial, and compliance records and prepare clear, concise reports for management and stakeholders.
- Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), asset management systems, and Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and external organizations.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships, handle confidential information appropriately, and work non-standard hours as required.

Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, coordinate, and track preventive, predictive, corrective, and outage maintenance activities for PV and BESS facilities.
- Coordinate maintenance activities with contractors, equipment vendors, OEMs, EPE personnel, system operators, and other stakeholders to ensure safe and efficient execution of work.
- Ensure required labor, materials, tools, permits, technical documentation, and resources are available to support maintenance activities.
- Coordinate planned outages, equipment availability, operating restrictions, and work windows with applicable operational and business groups.
- Review maintenance reports, inspection findings, production reports, and work completion documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and proper follow-up.
- Support contractor management activities, including statements of work, change orders, work verification, invoice processing, and performance monitoring.
- Coordinate with OEMs, vendors, and service providers to resolve equipment issues, warranty claims, technical support requests, and replacement part requirements.
- Manage inventory and material availability by coordinating procurement activities, tracking inventory levels, and maintaining critical spare parts requirements.
- Support contractor and site safety programs by coordinating training, site access, job hazard analyses, emergency response requirements, and compliance with company safety standards.
- Coordinate environmental compliance activities related to maintenance operations, including waste management, spill response, housekeeping, and site environmental controls.
- Maintain accurate maintenance, inventory, contractor, work order, and financial records, including coding, cost tracking, and supporting documentation.
- Assist with budget planning, forecasting, KPI reporting, and preparation of periodic summaries related to maintenance activities, asset performance, contractor performance, and operational risks.
- Identify equipment reliability issues, maintenance trends, process improvements, and material shortages, and recommend corrective actions to improve asset performance and operational efficiency.
- Exercise independent judgment within established policies and procedures while ensuring compliance with all applicable company, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned within the scope and responsibility of the position.
