About The Position

We are seeking an experienced IBM iSeries Mainframe Engineer with extensive experience in CL and Cobol, and some knowledge of JCL. The role also requires familiarity with modern AWS data technologies such as AWS Lakehouse, S3, Athena, Glue, and Airflow (MWAA). This is a 100% remote position for an 18-month duration.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 10+ years of experience with IBM iSeries mainframe, CL, Cobol, and JCL.
• Strong knowledge of AWS data technologies including Lakehouse, S3, Athena, Glue, and Airflow (MWAA).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with other cloud platforms such as Azure or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
• Proficiency in other programming languages like Java or Python.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize applications on IBM iSeries mainframe using CL and Cobol.
• Write and manage JCL scripts for job scheduling and execution.
• Integrate IBM iSeries applications with AWS data technologies.
• Design and implement data pipelines using AWS Lakehouse, S3, Athena, Glue, and Airflow (MWAA).
• Ensure data quality and consistency across different platforms.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues related to mainframe and AWS technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project objectives.
