About The Position

TEKsystems is seeking an experienced IBM Db2 Database and Platform Expert to assess, optimize, and evolve the IBM Db2 implementation supporting a TruckMate transportation management system. The consultant will identify and remediate performance, operational, and infrastructure risks while supporting migration of a large customer's live production Db2 database from Windows to Linux. The role works with internal teams and IBM support organizations to improve performance, operational stability, and best practices for business-critical systems throughout the migration lifecycle. The position includes assessing Db2 architecture, configuration, security, performance, and operational processes; tuning high-volume transactional workloads; diagnosing production and infrastructure issues; and optimizing both Windows Server and Linux environments. The consultant will lead migration readiness assessments and contribute to planning, testing, cutover, rollback, validation, and stabilization. Deliverables include performance benchmarks, assessments, migration runbooks, risk analyses, operational documentation, automation and monitoring standards, and knowledge-transfer materials.
