About The Position

The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Digestive and Liver Diseases, is seeking a gastroenterologist to serve as the Medical Director of the Inflammatory Bowel Diseases Program. The position will oversee the planned expansion of the inflammatory bowel disease practice. This position will be functioning as a gastroenterologist, with responsibilities and duties in patient care activities in IBD and general GI care, in addition to teaching and training of medical students, house staff, and fellows. This position is security-sensitive and subject to Texas Education Code 51.215, which authorizes UT Southwestern to obtain criminal history record information.

Requirements

  • M.D degree or equivalent, from an approved CME medical school.
  • Satisfactory completion of an Internal Medicine residency program.
  • Satisfactory completion of a gastroenterology fellowship from an ACGME accredited program.
  • Eligible for Texas medical license.
  • Board certified in Internal Medicine.
  • Board certified in Gastroenterology.
