About The Position

Central Middle International School is seeking an IB Science Teacher to prepare students for a changing world by providing diverse learning opportunities through real-world projects and experiences with a global focus. The role includes receiving ongoing training for International Baccalaureate (IB) Certification, revising curriculum to meet IB requirements, participating in district and building level professional development, and collaborating with other IB teachers.

Requirements

• Valid Indiana teaching license with middle school level certification (6-8) in Science required.
• Ongoing training for International Baccalaureate (IB) Certification (summer and school year training required).

Responsibilities

• Assess and document student progress, providing feedback to students and parents.
• Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and collaborative planning.
• Supervise students during school activities, field trips, and breaks.
• Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet students' varying needs.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and behavior.
• Comply with school policies, state regulations, and ethical teaching standards.
• Revise curriculum to meet IB requirements.
• Participate in district and building level professional development.
• Collaborate with other IB teachers.
