About The Position

The Metropolitan Museum of Art is seeking an IA Operations Assistant to provide superior customer service to its Members and Donors, supporting the institution's fundraising goals. This role involves administrative support for the Operations division of Institutional Advancement, focusing on maintaining data integrity, processing payments, and creating system documentation. Requirements

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Knowledge of ticketing systems and fundraising databases (CRM).
  • Demonstrated strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot customer service and technological issues.
  • Demonstrated capacity to work in a collaborative hybrid team environment, but also independently as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the initial point of service for all Museum Members and Donors.
  • Oversee the general Member and Donor Services Outlook inbox, ensuring timely and professional responses to inquiries.
  • Assist with all Member and Donor Services phone lines, answering inquiries, creating/updating orders, memberships, and constituent records, and processing payments.
  • Research processing errors and constituent record discrepancies, running regular (CSI) reports to identify potential issues.
  • Create and maintain documentation, communication templates, and FAQs to support Museum policies and initiatives.
  • Track and escalate feedback to identify areas for optimizing Member and Donor communications.
  • Support fellow teammates and assist in training new staff.
  • Assist with other administrative tasks as directed by supervisors.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
