About The Position
This co-op position at the ITT Design Center offers a unique opportunity to work with ITT Goulds Pumps, a renowned brand in the pump industry. Co-op candidates will gain hands-on experience in the design and manufacturing of custom-engineered, high-specification industrial pumps and monitoring equipment. Mentorship will be provided by experienced mechanical engineering and design professionals.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in mechanical engineering/mechanical engineering technology or similar.
- Must have completed 2 years of related college coursework.
- MS Office and 3D modeling experience required.
Nice To Haves
- FEA experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist with technical and project-based tasks related to product maintenance and product development.
- Participate in pump design, including mechanical design calculations and FEA.
- Work in the R&D Test Lab to assist with pump assembly and disassembly, supporting testing and development.
- Plot and analyze test data.
- Analyze inspection reports and perform scan comparisons of cast/machined parts for quality and accuracy.
- Generate new and update existing pump curves.
- Update product models and drawings.
- Prepare technical documentation as needed.
