As an I&E Technician at Ergon, Inc., you can look forward to an engaging day-to-day experience filled with hands-on tasks and continuous learning! Your journey will include routine inspections and maintenance of instrumentation and electrical equipment across the network such as devices for level, flow, pressure, and temperature, along with VFDs, valve actuators, PLCs, and HMI/SCADA systems, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently. You'll install, maintain, troubleshoot, and commission electrical, instrumentation, and automation systems in field and facility environments and collaborate closely with your team and plant operations to utilize your troubleshooting skills to solve problems. Enjoy the stability of a guaranteed 40-hour workweek with a flexible schedule - work four 10-hour days (4/10s) from late spring to early fall, giving you long weekends! Weekend and after-hours callouts periodically occur, but overall travel typically follows a Monday-through-Friday schedule, allowing you to enjoy your evenings and weekends. Plus, with the potential for over 300 hours of overtime annually, you'll have ample opportunities to refine your expertise. Due to the nationwide spread of our facilities, this position requires up to 75% travel. Trip duration is capped at 2 weeks for the rare jobs that extend through the weekend.
