Inspects and maintains various electrical/electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, analyzers, measurement, control and automation systems, and related equipment. This role involves installing, operating, inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, calibrating, and maintaining a wide range of equipment including calorimeters, chromatographs, SCADA systems, PLCs, and more. The position also includes performing preventative maintenance, maintaining electrical power circuits, installing security systems, and managing company vehicles. Additionally, the technician is responsible for preparing and maintaining various reports and records, such as maintenance records, safety reports, and mechanical/electrical drawings. Some duties may involve Department of Transportation (DOT) covered functions related to pipeline operations and emergency response, requiring the employee to be alert and respond immediately to hazardous conditions.
