The I&E Technician I is responsible for maintaining, calibrating, and troubleshooting field instrumentation devices for process equipment, including flow, temperature, and pressure devices, as well as analytical equipment and instrumentation. This role involves installing, calibrating, inspecting, and troubleshooting instruments and electrical equipment in accordance with industry standards and company policies. The technician will interpret and utilize drawings and documentation related to electrical and process controls, and troubleshoot PLC and DCS logic, including ladder logic, function block, and structured text routines. The position requires working safely on AC and DC distribution systems, troubleshooting and repairing motor control circuits and equipment, and practicing health, safety, and environmental awareness. The role supports operations to minimize production impacts and enhance reliability, maintaining high standards of workmanship and professionalism. Responsibilities also include interpreting schematics, performing database maintenance, completing safety training, reading pump curves, responding to emergencies, troubleshooting control circuits for motors, and performing other tasks as assigned.
