About The Position

Supports projects, installation, and maintenance of facility instrumentation and electrical components to ensure a safe, comfortable, operating environment. Requirements

  • Five (5) years minimum experience required in oil and gas plant and field instrumentation maintenance.
  • Ability to be available 24 hours per day (on call for questions, emergencies, etc.).
  • Ability to perform heavy manual tasks for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to understand and carry out written and oral instructions.
  • Ability to accurately solve problems.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other departments, and the public.
  • Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Identifies current and future Instrumentation/Controls requirements by establishing a rapport with management, engineering, production personnel, technicians, and other persons in a position to understand controls requirements.
  • Directs and supervises contractors as needed to complete assignments that are more than a one-man job.
  • Assists in the training of employees on how to perform the duties of maintenance, construction, and repair of instruments/analyzers and electrical equipment.
  • Ensures equipment is operating properly by determining work priorities and scheduling repair, maintenance, and installation of controls equipment.
  • Supports product development and improvement by reviewing new product plans, discussing equipment needs and modifications, coordinating activities with other facility crafts.
  • Supports and maintains Electronic, Mechanical, and Pneumatic instrumentation of various types and manufacturers.
  • Support Operations and Maintenance departments as needed.
  • Working knowledge of analyzers and ability to troubleshoot Dew Point analysis.
  • Calibrations of pressure transmitter and switches.
  • DCS/PLC Maintenance and Troubleshooting.
  • Utilize trends to diagnose/troubleshoot operational issues.
  • Ability to respond to power outages.
  • Knowledge and ability to run tubing as needed.
  • Maintains employee confidence and protects company assets, including intellectual property, by keeping information confidential.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
