Learn more about these projects at: Power Innovation | Williams Companies What You’ll Experience As an Operations Technician, you’ll be part of a dynamic team maintaining one of Williams’ largest installations of horsepower and power distribution equipment. You’ll gain valuable experience working with: Gas turbines and high-speed reciprocating engines Medium voltage generators and power distribution systems Environmental controls and distributed control systems You’ll also support construction projects, troubleshoot equipment, and analyze data to solve technical challenges—all while growing into a respected leader among your peers. As an I&E-focused Operations Technician, you’ll play a critical role in maintaining and optimizing the electrical and control systems that keep our facilities running. Your responsibilities may include: Installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical and instrumentation systems, including switchgear, motor controls, control loops, PLCs (Allen Bradley), and both AC/DC systems. Ensuring safe and reliable operations by identifying root causes of equipment issues and implementing corrective actions to reduce downtime. Maintaining and repairing process control systems to support efficient plant operations. Collaborating with project teams to define scope and instrumentation specifications for new installations and upgrades. Performing additional duties as needed to support operations. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid State Driver’s License and clean driving record
  • Willingness to work shifts, overtime, and travel between locations
  • Ability to work in extreme conditions and elevated areas with PPE
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to safety and operational excellence
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and PC applications
  • Familiarity with Process Control Systems and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)
  • Ability to embrace new technologies and drive operational efficiency

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of related experience, preferably in oil & gas (for Technician II)
  • 3+ years of technician experience, preferably in oil & gas (for Technician III)
  • 6+ years of experience with similar equipment or facilities (for Technician Sr)
  • Associate degree preferred (for Technician Sr)
