Learn more about these projects at: Power Innovation | Williams Companies What You’ll Experience As an Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E) Operations Technician Lead, you’ll serve as a mentor to a team of safety-focused technicians, helping maximize equipment reliability and availability. Teaching teammates, solving sophisticated problems efficiently, and bringing strong attention to detail are key to success in this role. Expect to deepen your expertise with: High-level maintenance and operation of natural gas process-related equipment and systems Process control systems, instrumentation specifications, and electrical maintenance support Root cause analysis and corrective actions focused on improving safety and minimizing unplanned shutdowns You’ll partner with supervisors, managers, and project managers to share findings, define scopes, support instrumentation specifications, and drive reliable operations across the facility. What You’ll Do As an I&E-focused Operations Technician Lead, your responsibilities will center on maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving process control and natural gas process systems. Your key duties include: Performing high-level maintenance and operational tasks with natural gas process-related equipment and systems Mentoring and training less experienced operators and technicians Minimizing unplanned shutdowns through root cause analyses and corrective actions with a focus on improving safety Partnering with supervisors and managers to share findings, root causes, and resolutions Fixing and maintaining process control systems Partnering with project managers to define project scope and instrumentation specifications for new projects Supporting additional tasks as assigned—your expertise strengthens our team’s success

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum six (6) years' progressive experience in operations, engineering, or the energy industry
  • Valid State Driver’s License and clean driving record
  • Aptitude and ability to embrace technology and applications to drive operational efficiency and streamline processes
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills with safety as the utmost priority
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and PC skills

Nice To Haves

  • Associate or 2-year technical degree and minimum six (6) years' progressive experience in operations, engineering, or the energy industry
  • Previous experience working in gas-plant operations, gas compression, and/or liquid or gas gathering processes
  • Previous experience in the mechanical, electrical, and/or maintenance industry

Responsibilities
