This role is responsible for performing all aspects of complex electrical and instrumentation design. It requires extensive progressive experience in electrical and instrumentation design, applying advanced design techniques and analysis. The position involves some supervision of less experienced personnel and will be performed under general supervision. Key responsibilities include familiarity with department design and drafting standards, producing installation details, single lines, layouts, schedules, and plans, recognizing and communicating scope changes, providing on-site assistance during startup, and guiding less experienced drafting personnel. The role also involves producing equipment and installation specifications with engineering review and approval, understanding workflow between disciplines, estimating task completion, and developing construction cost estimates, engineering schedules, and man-hour budgets for projects. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microstation is required, with 3D AutoCAD being desirable. Strong communication and virtual team skills are also essential.
