I&C Supervisors at SAS are responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating department operations. Duties include formulating policies and procedures, managing daily operations, and planning the use of materials and human resources. The Supervisor manages operational policies within their area(s), helps avoid erroneous decisions or failures that could lead to significant expenditure of time, human resources, and money, and acts as an advisor to subordinates to meet schedules and resolve technical problems. They receive predetermined work assignments subject to a moderate level of control and review, and manage employees on shift with accountability for costs, schedules, productivity, and performance standards. This role involves working on moderate to complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires in-depth knowledge of objectives, identifying problems, evaluating options, and implementing solutions. They communicate detailed plans for work assignments and serve as the second point of contact for issues arising on shift, working on issues independently. Supervisors direct subordinates to complete assignments using established guidelines, procedures, and policies, performing daily work independently from their manager and following established practices and procedures in analyzing situations and/or data, while monitoring daily operations.
