About The Position

KALCON is seeking an Instrumentation & Controls Engineer to serve as an Owner's Representative supporting a semiconductor facility campus. This individual will provide technical oversight and coordination for facility infrastructure, equipment integration, and operational readiness activities across manufacturing and laboratory environments. The successful candidate will act as the primary liaison between facilities engineering, operations, project management teams, equipment owners, contractors, and vendors to ensure facility systems and manufacturing equipment are properly integrated, maintained, and aligned with company objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing, facilities engineering, capital equipment integration, industrial engineering, or technical project coordination.
  • Experience supporting facility operations, infrastructure improvements, equipment installations, utility systems, or manufacturing environments.
  • Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing tools and associated facility systems.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to coordinate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or similar project tracking and reporting tools.
  • Ability to work in active manufacturing, laboratory, cleanroom, and facilities environments.

Responsibilities

  • Represent the owner’s interests during facility, infrastructure, and equipment-related projects.
  • Serve as the primary point of coordination between project teams, facilities engineering, operations, equipment stakeholders, contractors, and vendors.
  • Coordinate activities involving facilities personnel, manufacturing teams, equipment owners, EHS, contractors, and engineering groups.
  • Support the planning, execution, and tracking of facility modifications, equipment installations, utility upgrades, and operational improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor project activities to ensure alignment with schedules, budgets, operational requirements, and technical specifications.
  • Review equipment and facility requirements, including electrical systems, HVAC, process gases, utilities, exhaust systems, controls, and associated infrastructure.
  • Coordinate equipment delivery, staging, installation, startup, commissioning, and turnover activities as required.
  • Interface directly with OEM tool vendors, contractors, and facilities teams to resolve technical and operational issues.
  • Verify facility readiness and infrastructure availability to support equipment and operational requirements.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, action item logs, status reports, and project documentation.
  • Identify project risks, facility constraints, and operational impacts while coordinating mitigation strategies.
  • Support operational readiness planning, turnover activities, and the transition of completed work to end users.
  • Facilitate communication between stakeholders and provide regular updates regarding project status, milestones, risks, and issue resolution.
  • Ensure all activities comply with site safety requirements, cleanroom protocols, operational standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in risk assessments, method-of-procedure reviews, and safety planning activities.
