The Instrumentation & Controls Engineering organization designs safety-related and non-safety-related digital instrumentation and control (I&C) systems and oversees and coordinates workflows and schedules with designated subcontractors. The I&C Engineer 3 applies in-depth knowledge of engineering disciplines, industry codes, and regulations, and makes technical decisions about I&C system design and application to support compliance with NRC regulatory criteria. The role applies engineering principles and practices to prepare and review I&C system design work products, including diagrams, specifications, design documents, studies, calculations, reports, hazard analyses, and Inspections, Tests, and Analysis Acceptance Criteria (ITAAC). It uses systems engineering processes for software and hardware design and development; coordinates engineering work and schedules; and develops component and system designs from functional and design requirements, considering interfaces, manufacturability, serviceability, and in-service inspection. The position interprets project scope and requirements, develops design alternatives, and performs complex assignments in a team environment. It also contributes experience in designing, testing, and installing process control and automation systems; oversees and directs key I&C suppliers; and coordinates design interfaces with other disciplines and partners. This is a full-time role.
