Hyperscaler Deployment Services Director

EricssonPlano, TX

About The Position

We are looking for a Service Delivery Director (SDD) who will be accountable for the end to end global delivery of hardware and services to hyperscale cloud supplier locations—on time, under budget, and in full compliance. This role owns the complete supply chain execution, including sourcing coordination, logistics planning, customs clearance, trade compliance, risk management, and last mile delivery into data center environments. The SDD ensures a high quality, resilient, and scalable delivery model by proactively anticipating and mitigating geopolitical, regulatory, and operational risks while balancing speed, cost, and reliability. Partnering closely with Project Directors and cross functional stakeholders, this leader oversees the full lifecycle from order receipt through installation and asset lifecycle management, enabling seamless global deployments even in complex or emerging markets.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree or higher education.
  • At least 10 years of experience across supply chain management, sourcing, large-scale program delivery, finance, and business operations.
  • Extensive leadership experience managing complex, global service delivery programs and working successfully with demanding internal and external customers.
  • Strong knowledge of and hands-on experience delivering through Ericsson’s supply chain and sourcing processes.
  • A passion for people leadership with the ability to build, inspire, and sustain a diverse, high-performing, matrixed global team aligned with Ericsson core values.
  • Proven strategic insight with the ability to translate innovative ideas into executable, value-driven solutions.
  • Confidence and courage to address difficult situations directly, make timely decisions using facts, and take decisive action.
  • A transparent leadership style and willingness to surface risks, challenges, and opportunities proactively.
  • A strong track record of building trust and credibility with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Provide end-to-end oversight of hardware and services delivery to hyperscale data center locations, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Partner with Project Directors to plan current business, onboard new programs, minimize program costs, and proactively identify and mitigate delivery risks.
  • Lead customer management efforts by maintaining strong internal and external relationships, driving strategic initiatives to enhance customer experience, and delivering performance-driven business reviews.
  • Resolve escalated service delivery issues while ensuring professional, timely, and effective communication.
  • Drive delivery excellence by optimizing performance, quality, and cost through resource planning, global delivery utilization, offshoring strategies, automation, industrialization, and process efficiency.
  • Define, track, and improve key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure delivery performance and operational health.
  • Establish and lead regular governance with key customer stakeholders, Program Directors, Market Areas, and Global Support Centers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Market Area leadership, delivery organizations, and local entities to ensure alignment and execution success.
  • Anticipate potential operational risks and proactively minimize service disruptions across the delivery lifecycle.
  • Oversee inventory management to ensure supply meets demand and obsolete technology is depleted before introducing new hardware.
  • Partner with Sales and Trade Compliance to ensure fully compliant global deployments and maintain an accurate register of countries in scope.
  • Maintain asset traceability within systems of record, monitor warranty and support expirations, negotiate extensions, and identify add-on sales opportunities.
