Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in structured cabling, telecommunications, mission critical, data center, or related construction environments.
Hyperscale or large data center experience strongly preferred.
Demonstrated experience leading multiple crews or workfronts in a fast-paced construction environment.
Demonstrated experience planning work, tracking production, managing manpower, and coordinating materials.
Experience reading and executing against construction schedules and look-ahead plans.
Proven ability to lead through subordinate field leaders rather than directly managing every craft activity.
Strong understanding of hyperscale data center construction and structured cabling systems.
Strong understanding of field production, manpower loading, sequencing, and workfront planning.
Ability to direct multiple Lead Technicians and crews simultaneously.
Ability to translate schedule activities into executable daily and weekly work plans.
Working knowledge of construction scheduling concepts, dependencies, milestones, and look-ahead planning.
Ability to assist with 1-, 2-, 3-, and 4-week look-ahead development.
Strong ability to evaluate planned versus actual production and implement corrective action.
Ability to maintain accurate production trackers and field reporting.
Strong understanding of material planning, staging, logistics, and workfront readiness.
Ability to identify constraints early and drive resolution.
Strong understanding of drawings, specifications, customer requirements, and quality standards.
Strong field leadership presence and ability to influence multiple crews through Lead Technicians.
Excellent verbal communication and practical problem-solving skills.
Strong organizational and prioritization capabilities.
Ability to make timely decisions in rapidly changing field conditions.
Ability to operate under significant schedule pressure while maintaining safety and quality standards.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Teams, field production trackers, and applicable project reporting tools.
Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with project leadership, customers, trade partners, and field personnel.
Strong accountability and ownership mentality.

Nice To Haves

Associate’s or technical degree in Construction Management, Telecommunications, Network Infrastructure, or related field preferred.
Relevant industry and manufacturer training strongly preferred.
Certifications — Preferred OSHA 30, BICSI Technician, BICSI Installer 2 Copper and/or Fiber, BICSI RTPM, FOA CFOT or equivalent fiber certification, First Aid / CPR, MEWP / Aerial Lift Certification, Manufacturer-specific certifications applicable to project scope, Customer-specific technical qualifications as applicable.
Lean Construction / Last Planner System training preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead and enforce all safety requirements across assigned workfronts, maintaining a visible field presence and reinforcing safe work practices.
Direct the daily execution of approximately 3-5 Lead Technicians and their associated crews, ensuring understanding of scope, priorities, and production goals.
Translate Superintendent direction and schedule requirements into executable work packages for Lead Technicians.
Validate that crews are working on correct priorities and executing according to plan, reallocating manpower and resources as needed.
Coordinate interfaces between crews to prevent conflicts and ensure efficient sequencing.
Own production performance, establish daily production expectations, and implement corrective actions for underperforming crews.
Maintain accurate and timely production information, updating trackers with actual completed quantities and validating Lead Technician actuals.
Partner with the Superintendent to translate the project schedule into executable field plans, providing input for look-ahead planning.
Validate workfront availability, predecessor completion, access requirements, material readiness, and other factors for upcoming schedule activities.
Evaluate manpower requirements and ensure labor is appropriately distributed, rebalancing crews as necessary.
Maintain forward visibility of material requirements, coordinate with logistics, and validate material availability.
Conduct frequent field inspections to verify compliance with drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
Identify and actively manage constraints affecting production, resolving them at the Field Supervisor level whenever possible.
Serve as the primary field communication link between Lead Technicians and the Superintendent, providing regular updates.
Directly lead, coach, and develop assigned Lead Technicians, establishing clear performance expectations and identifying development needs.
