About The Position

Sierra Dental - Tennyson has an opening for a Dental Hygiene Assistant in the Highlands/Berkeley area of Denver! We provide an excellent working environment with great doctors. All of our staff members receive training to help them make the transition to your new professional home. Job Type: Full-time Work Location: In person Schedule Monday to Friday Compensation: $21-23 per hour, based on experience

Requirements

X-Ray Certification (Required)

Nice To Haves

Versed in Dentrix and Dexis is highly preferred
Coronal Polishing (Preferred)

Responsibilities

Provide outstanding customer service for the patient; excellent chair-side manner
Assist our hygienists with our Accelerated Hygiene Program
Sterilization/ OSHA compliance
Take radiographs of patients using standard dental radiographic equipment
Perform e,icient and accurate procedures to help maintain the hygienists’ schedule and patient flow; create no patient wait time; maintain time flexibility for patient; be present, engaged, ready to work at all assigned shift times
Help clean the office and treatment rooms
Review patient chart prior to hygienist's/doctor's arrival and log appropriate patient data during exam and treatment, as well as transcribe doctor notes in the patient chart
Maintain patient confidentiality through HIPAA compliance
Follow organizations safety policies and procedures
Have knowledge and understanding of dental terminology sufficient to perform the job successfully
Verify patient health history (basic health review, medications, understanding impact on dentistry) and document appropriately in patients chart
Assist with other office duties as requested or needed
